A Day With a Master

Spend a day in an interactive workshop, learning how to create great landscape images with world reknown photographer, Arno Gasteiger at breath-taking Karekare beach.

The workshop content includes:
* Viewing Arno's work - you'll learn how to recognise different light and how it affects images, along with the importance of strong composition
* Refreshers on camera and photography basics
* Discussions, Q&A time and hands-on group and individual exercises
* The value of feedback and learning thorough an anonymous photo critique exercise
* Using Arno's background as the Photo Editor for New Zealand Geographic magazine, learn how to edit images to create a meaningful portfolio or presentation
* Basic commercial know how such as entering competitions, pricing images and protecting images with copyright

* Finding out how Arno plans a shoot - the process, what's in his kit and his post production workflow as Arno does very little digital adjustment to his work.
* Planning your own late afternoon shoot to coincide with sunset and creating your own test shots

Photo Critique
We believe in learning from critique and feedback so have included the opportunity to share your previous work anonymously with other attendees and Arno.

Prior to the seminar, you can submit up to two landscape images you have taken to be assessed by Arno Gasteiger.

Experience Required
This workshop will cater to most levels as Arno will provide a refresher on photography basics but also delve into more advanced topics. The workshop does not cater to absolute beginners and will not cover how to use specific cameras. Also, Arno's insights into how he works will appeal to anyone interested in landscape photography.

Digital compact camera with full manual control or Digital SLR - refer to the What to Bring page.

Cost
The full day workshop is $295 including welcome tea and coffee, lunch and afternoon tea

Groups of 2 or more people are $290 per person. The group must register and pay together to qualify for the discounted price.
